The Organizing Committee (or the OC) is the beating heart of our union. The work of the OC is to organize our membership<\/strong> through consistent communication and relationship-building<\/strong> with individual members. A strong union has an inclusive and representational Organizing Committee. All TWU members are eligible to attend OC meetings and\/or join the OC at any time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n You should consider joining the OC if you enjoy getting to know your colleague and talking to them about the importance of collective power at your workplace! They put out the newsletters you receive, design the posts for social media, respond to media requests, and develop a big picture strategy to make sure TWU is easy to engage with and visible! Communications is a critically important part of our union. They make sure that members can stay informed and involved, a necessary part of any democratic and active movement!<\/p>\n\n\n\n You should join the Communications Committee if you are passionate about keeping others informed, like to write or do graphic design, and understand the importance of building a narrative that keeps our membership connected to their movement!
